PM, Sunday, January 22nd Please join us on the Main Stage at the Grand Tasting for this highly charged Oyster Shucking Competition. The contest challenges some of the best shuckers from around the nation to compete and show what remarkable skill it requires to separate 24 oysters perfectly from their shells -- in no more than 3 minutes. Contestants are judged on speed, preserving the quality and uniformity of presentation. This will be the third year that the Sun WineFest hosts this thrilling and entertaining competition which even includes regional bartenders participating in a half-time beer shucking contest! The Champion Oyster Shucker will take home a $5000 Cash Prize, the Oyster Open Trophy Belt, a two-night stay at the Four Diamond Hotel at Mohegan Sun and an incredible lobster and oyster feast at Jasper White’s Summer Shack. They will also be invited to compete in the Mohegan Sun Oyster Open at the Taste of Mystic in September. WANT
