and seafood company on the Eastern Seaboard
to find the best shuckers to compete for 1st,
2nd and 3rd place.

Shuckers competed to open 24 oysters as fast
and as perfectly as possible.
Six
years ago it began at the East Coast Grill,
pitting Cambridge-Boston restaurants against
each other to see who had the best raw bar staff.
Today it has grown into a regional event for
shuckers throughout New England rivaling the
great annual competitions in Wellfleet, MA,
Block Island, RI,
and St. Marys, MD. The competition now focuses
on individuals competing rather than the operations
that they work for . . .
